Challenges

Africa Foodies produces natural fruit juices and offers catering services in Côte d’Ivoire. Although their products are known and sold, their production has a capacity to scale up. In addition, their production activities generate about one ton of waste per week. The disposal of this waste is very costly and can cause inconvenience to the neighbourhood. Eventually, the production of juice generates high production costs in terms of energy.

Solutions

To overcome these problems, WE4F and Africa Foodies will first work on the development of a biodigester, an innovative technology for treating waste (liquid and solid). In addition, they will collaborate on the production of clean energy to optimize production. Finally, they will work on setting up an innovative online and physical sales system to reach a maximum number of customers in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.

This will enable the company to overcome its waste and water management problems, as well as to optimise its energy consumption and market visibility by improving the company’s environmental sustainability. It will also allow WE4F to promote the innovations that will be developed and installed.
