AES is an SME based in Burkina Faso, specializing in the installation of solar equipment in rural areas. Their innovative solution ensures effective water management while increasing the availability of water throughout all seasons. Therefore, production is guaranteed all year round. Thanks to a pay-as-you-go scheme, low-income small-holder farmers are able to access irrigation solutions, increase their production and improve their livelihoods. So far, 115 solar irrigation stations benefit women and men and allow them to produce off-season vegetable crops.
