An Enabling Environment for Sustainable Agribusinesses

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), is organizing a virtual learning session as a part of the learning series organized by the International Initiative Water & Energy for Food (WE4F) Program.

Small and medium enterprises promoting innovative energy solutions in agricultural value-chains often face major barriers in terms of policy and regulatory framework as well as access to finance, among others. The virtual event will bring together different speakers to provide insights into these key issues as well as present two reports published by the International Initiative Powering Agriculture (PAEGC): Navigating policy and regulation in the clean energy-agriculture nexus: a guide for companies to engage policymakers and Access to financing for early-stage innovators in the clean energy-agriculture nexus.

The virtual event will have two sessions held back-to-back, specifically:

Session 1 (2-3pm, UTC):

The policy and regulatory needs of the private sector in the Clean Energy Nexus

Session 2 (3-4pm, UTC):

Access to financing in the energy-food nexus for the supply and demand of innovations

The virtual event will be held in French on November 18th (2-4pm UTC) and in English November 19th (2-4pm UTC).

We look forward to your participation. The full agenda and the French versions of the reports will be available soon.
