The Water & Energy for Food (WE4F) 2.0 MENA Call for Innovations is open to MSMEs and scale-ups in Algeria, Palestine, and Syria!

We are seeking early-to-late-stage enterprises operating at the water, energy, and food nexus — from water management innovators and climate-resilient agri-businesses to clean energy solutions, digital market platforms, and circular economy enterprises — that demonstrate potential for innovation and high community-level impact in fragile and underserved markets.

Selected enterprises will join the WE4F 2.0 MENA innovator cohort and receive technical assistance from leading water–energy–food experts across the region. Based on assessed needs and milestones, enterprises may access grant funding, with average support of USD 80,000. In addition, WE4F facilitates investor matchmaking and access to regional financing opportunities to help enterprises strengthen their resilience and grow their impact across their communities and beyond.

Why Apply?

Eligibility Requirements – Track 3

WE4F 2.0 Track 3 is open to legally incorporated or registered for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, as well as academic institutions, that generate revenue and maintain a self-sustaining operational budget. Applicants must demonstrate a proven revenue track record selling products or services relevant to the water–energy–food nexus and climate resilience. Track 3 also welcomes early-to-late stage companies and informal businesses transitioning into formality, recognizing the context of nascent markets.

Track 3 is open to organizations with the company age of 1 year at least. Applicants must demonstrate relevance to the water, energy, and food nexus and the potential for climate resilience impact at the community level. Track 3 applies more flexible and context-sensitive eligibility requirements, acknowledging the limited access to finance, formalization, and donor programming in target markets. Applicants must have minimum annual revenues of $25,000 USD. No EBITDA margin or growth rate thresholds are required.

Eligible applicants must be legally registered and operating in one of the following countries: Algeria, Palestine, and/or Syria.

Application responses must be submitted in English, French, or Arabic.

Co-financing requirements may be adjusted or lowered.

Track 3 Solicitation Document (English)

المسار 3  مفتوح أمام المنظمات الربحية وغير الربحية التي تم تأسيسها أو تسجيلها قانونياً، وكذلك المؤسسات الأكاديمية، التي تحقق إيرادات وتحتفظ بميزانية تشغيلية مكتفية ذاتياً. يجب على المتقدمين إثبات سجل حافل بالإيرادات من بيع المنتجات أو الخدمات ذات الصلة بالصلة بين المياه والطاقة والغذاء والقدرة على التكيف مع تغير المناخ. كما يرحب المسار 3 بالشركات في المراحل المبكرة إلى المتأخرة والأعمال غير الرسمية التي تنتقل إلى مرحلة الرسمية، مع الاعتراف بسياق الأسواق الناشئة

المسار 3 مفتوح للمنظمات التي يبلغ عمرها عامًا واحدًا على الأقل. يجب على المتقدمين إثبات صلتهم بالصلة بين المياه والطاقة والغذاء وإمكانية التأثير على المرونة المناخية على مستوى المجتمع المحلي. يطبق المسار 3 متطلبات أهلية أكثر مرونة ومراعاة للسياق، اعترافًا بمحدودية الوصول إلى التمويل والتحول إلى القطاع الرسمي وبرامج المانحين في الأسواق المستهدفة. يجب أن يكون لدى المتقدمين إيرادات سنوية لا تقل عن 25,000 دولار أمريكي. لا توجد حدود دنيا مطلوبة لهوامش الأرباح قبل الفوائد والضرائب والاستهلاك والإطفاء أو معدلات النمو

يجب أن يكون المتقدمون المؤهلون مسجلين قانونياً ويعملون في إحدى الدول التالية: الجزائر، فلسطين، و/أو سوريا
