Website Address

Sub-Saharan Africa faces a lack of access to energy, which is one of the most pronounced aspects of poverty holding back development in the region.

E4I aims to promote social equity, build climate-resilient economies and achieve sustainable development outcomes in disadvantaged communities by accelerating the growth of local energy access enterprises to stimulate economic growth and employment in off-grid rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Through projects with WE4F, E4I and WE4F implement collaborative programmes to provide innovative clean energy solutions such as access to solar irrigation improvements, transformative technologies, technical assistance, and holistic support services. The aim is to raise awareness of the benefits of solar irrigation among farmers in the region, increase the sustainability of agri-food value chains and environmental and climate resilience through innovation.
