Sustaining the Gains of WE4F in East Africa and West Africa – Discover Our Most Relevant Knowledge Products

Everything comes to an end, and so will someday the international initiative Water and Energy for Food.

After four impactful years, the GIZ-managed Secretariat and Hubs in Nairobi and Abidjan will already close their doors at the end of this years, having successfully implemented activities and worked with innovative partners from the private and public sectors in the East and West African regions.

Throughout this time, we’ve achieved significant milestones, fostering innovative approaches that will continue to resonate globally. Our efforts have emphasized the critical connections between water, energy, and food, demonstrating how collaboration can drive sustainable solutions.

Make sure to explore our compilation of key knowledge products developed and supported by GIZ, with funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU). These resources encapsulate the lessons learned and insights gained throughout this journey, including the scaling of innovative solar-powered technologies, the support of digital tools, and the establishment of knowledge networks on topics like organic fertilizers.
