WE4F West Africa Regional Innovation Hub Announces the Ivorian Call for Innovations

On July 1st, 2021, GIZ through the Water and Energy for Food (WE4F/PEEPA) was honored to inform innovative companies ,and more specifically small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in Côte d’Ivoire, of the official launch under the supervision of the Ministry of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the “National Competition for Innovative SMEs in the fields of Water, Energy and Food”. 

The competition targets SMEs involved in the food value chain (e.g., agricultural production, conservation, processing, transport and distribution).

Through this competition, the WE4F project aims to:

  • Support the development of sustainable, water- and/or energy-efficient innovations and approaches that guarantee food security.
  • Support entrepreneurs in selling their technologies to markets of different scales.
  • To create jobs through innovations in the field of renewable energy, water, energy and food.

The competition is published through a Call for Expression of Interest issued on July 1st, 2021.

SMEs wishing to participate in the competition should write to CI_inquiry@giz.de to receive the submission form and submit to the same address by end of July 15th, 2021 Abidjan time.

These solutions can be digital or non-digital, technological, organizational or financial in nature.

The winners of the national competition for innovative SMEs in the fields of water, energy and food will benefit from technical and financial support to promote their innovations and scale up.
